Cllr Alison Cooper has lived in Rustington for 50 years with her husband and 3 children. Alison has owned several businesses in Rustington and has been actively involved with Rustington Chamber of Trade and Commerce, and as a Parish Councillor since 2013.
Alison feels that being a local representative brings her to the heart of the issues that residents and businesses face, but most importantly helps get the resolutions that are required. She aim to make a real difference to the residents and businesses in the village.
Alison has a proven track record locally of getting things done: getting the No 12 Bus reinstated; saving an historic bungalow from demolition; assisting with the move of the Museum to a more sustainable location and £71K funding secured. It is important to be visible in the community, to be approachable, and to work hard for the residents. Alison works in the centre of Rustington: living and working here daily makes a real difference.
Alison was first elected as the county councillor for Rustington in 2021, and has been the district councillor for Rustington East since 2019.
